character reference sheet, front view and back view, two views of the same character, 1girl, solo, full body portrait, light colored background, adult, mature female, anthro heron bird, exceptionally tall and thin, graceful angular build, long neck, prominent crest plume, slate-blue and slate-gray feathers, narrow eyes, gold eyes, long pointed beak, dark lavender beak tip, elegant splayed feet, perky breasts, firm hips, slim legs, head turned slightly, flowing high-collared tunic, layered shawls, tailored slacks, muted earth tones, understated silver jewelry, reading glasses on a chain, standing, arms at sides, side-by-side layout, cel shading, flat rendering, high contrast, bright colors, stylized comic style A character reference sheet on a light, pale warm-grey field with no horizon and no scenery: two full-body views of the same adult anthro heron woman stand side by side, front view on the left and back view on the right, separated by a narrow vertical column of empty background. Both figures stand at the same height on an invisible baseline, scaled identically, so the sheet reads as one specimen drawn twice. She is exceptionally tall and thin — a long, graceful, angular frame with narrow shoulders, a long neck rising in a slow S curve, perky breasts sitting high on a slim ribcage, firm hips and long slim legs — and that vertical, attenuated silhouette is the same in both views, drawn with the same proportions and the same four-and-a-half-head neck-to-hip measure so the two figures compare cleanly. Her plumage is slate-blue on the crown, nape and the outer surfaces of the arms, deepening to slate-gray on the back, shoulders and the long flight-feather primaries that hang from her forearms, with a paler slate-gray breast and throat. A prominent crest plume sweeps back from the crown of her head in two long tapered feathers, tipping in a lighter slate tick; in the front view it lifts and curls slightly to her left, in the back view it lies back along the nape and reads as a clear separate silhouette. Her face is narrow and long, with narrow gold eyes set under a low brow ridge, an iris of warm metallic gold with a hard dark pupil, and a long pointed beak running straight from the brow with a hint of dark lavender washing the last third near the tip. Her head is turned slightly — in the front view her chin and beak angle some ten degrees to her right, so the beak crosses her cheek line and both gold eyes stay visible catching the light; in the back view the same three-quarter turn shows the edge of one gold eye and the curve of the beak past the jaw. Her feet are elegant splayed heron feet, three long forward toes spread wide and a short rear toe, slate-gray scaled with dark claws, planted flat and slightly apart. She wears a flowing high-collared tunic in a muted olive-earth green, the collar standing upright to the base of her long neck and closing at the throat, the body of the tunic loose and long to mid-thigh, the sleeves wide and falling open at the wrist so the slate-blue forearm feathers and the hanging primaries emerge past the cuff. Over it, layered shawls in taupe and ochre are wrapped one over the other across her shoulders and upper chest, the taupe layer beneath, the ochre layer on top with its fringed edge hanging at a slight diagonal; the back view shows both shawl layers crossing and folding down her spine to a soft point between the shoulder blades. Tailored slate-brown slacks run from the hips to just above the ankle, cut narrow and clean with a crease down each leg, the hems stopping short of the scaled ankles. Understated silver jewelry: a thin silver chain at the base of the throat and a single small silver band on one long finger of each hand, nothing more. Reading glasses hang on a fine silver chain from her collar, the small round lenses resting on her upper chest in the front view and swinging back against the tunic front in the back view, the silver chain catching a thin highlight. In the front view her weight sits on her left leg with the right knee softened, one hand loose at her side with the long fingers slightly curled, the other resting at the shawl's edge; her gold eyes look off to her right, past the frame, calm and appraising with a lowered upper lid. In the back view the same weight shift mirrors correctly, arms hanging with the wide tunic sleeves falling open, the crest plume and the shawl's fringed hem the only moving shapes. The light is a single soft, even studio source from the front upper left of the sheet: the left-hand figure's face and the lit side of her tunic take a gentle gradient, the right-hand figure is lit from her own upper left too, so both views share one lighting logic, and their short, soft contact shadows fall to the right of each pair of feet and stay small on the pale ground. The palette is held to slate-blue, slate-gray, olive, taupe, ochre and slate-brown against the light neutral field, with gold only in the eyes and silver only in the chain and ring. Cel-shaded flat rendering with bright, high-contrast hard-edged shadow shapes and crisp comic linework, the feathers drawn with clean overlapping feather shapes and the cloth with a few decisive fold strokes. Orderly, quietly elegant.
