character: honda_tohru, sohma_kyou, copyright: fruits_basket 2girls, honda_tohru, sohma_kyou, long hair, dark brown hair, hair ribbon, brown eyes, eyes closed, gentle smile, closed mouth, white sailor collar, serafuku, yellow ribbon, hugging, arms around another, leaning forward, light orange hair, short hair, orange eyes, kneeling, seiza, standing knee, head down, looking down, surprised, wide-eyed, parted lips, from side, profile, cowboy shot, soft focus background, pastel palette, fluffy atmosphere, bokeh, warm light, gentle mood A side-profile view, camera at the kneeling boy's chest height and slightly to the front of him, framing both figures from mid-thigh up in a cowboy shot. On the right of the frame the young man kneels upright on both knees, weight settled back on his heels, torso straight, shoulders squared but slightly drawn in; his head is lowered, chin toward his chest, and his eyes are cast down and away to the lower left, unfocused, lids lifted a fraction too wide. His mouth is slack and just parted in a small, unguarded intake of breath, one brow lifted higher than the other. Both arms hang loose at his sides, hands slack and open near his thighs, fingers curved without gripping anything. His short, light orange hair falls forward over his forehead as his head tips down, a few strands catching the rim light along the crown. On the left, the girl leans in from a half-step forward, her weight on her front foot, hips tilted, torso angled toward him so her shoulder comes across the frame; both arms wrap around his upper back and shoulders, her forearms crossed behind him, hands resting flat against his shoulder blades with the fingers spread and gentle, her cheek near his temple without pressing. Her eyes are fully closed, lashes low and dark against her cheek, and her lips curve into a soft closed-mouth smile that presses the corners of her mouth upward. Her long dark brown hair sweeps forward over her shoulders, several strands falling across the front of his chest and one strand laid against his collar; the ribbon in her hair sits at the back of her head, its tail lifted slightly by the lean. Her white sailor collar spreads across her shoulders and the yellow ribbon at her chest hangs forward, swinging a little with the motion. The two bodies meet at a single quiet contact line: her arms and forearms bracketing his upper back, her shoulder overlapping his silhouette, her hair spilling over his front. Her shadow falls across the front of his shirt. He does not return the embrace; the asymmetry between her closed eyes and his downcast, startled gaze carries the moment. Light comes from a high, soft source behind and above them, warm and diffused, rimming the crown of his orange hair and the outer edge of her dark brown hair while the sides facing the camera sit in gentle, luminous shade; there are no hard cast shadows, only a soft pooling of darkness behind his knees and under her chin. Behind them the background dissolves into a soft, fluffy, warm atmosphere effect: rounded pale-cream and blush-pink bokeh orbs drifting out of focus, faint curled wisps like cotton, a wash of pale gold and powder-rose air with the figures' outlines kept crisp against it. Nothing in the background is legible or specific; it stays pure softness. The palette holds to warm cream, blush pink, pale gold, the deep cocoa of her hair and the pale tangerine of his, plus the white of her collar and the yellow of the ribbon. His signature beads are not in the frame. Tender and hushed.
