character: tanya_degurechaff tarot card, 1girl, solo, XV, THE DEVIL, dramatic close-up, face focus, manic insane unhinged expression, bloodshot wide-open glowing red eyes, crazed grin, sharp teeth, short blonde hair, ahoge, twisted thorny red halo, floating halo, small leathery demon wings, dirty military uniform, ornate medal at collar, chaotic apocalyptic battlefield background, dark smoke, blazing fire, scorched ground, chains, skeletons, destroyed tanks, vintage worn scratched texture, ornate gothic gold border, sinister malevolent anime style, from above, dutch angle, looking at viewer, glowing eyes, high contrast A tarot card ruled by the number XV and the title THE DEVIL, built as a dark gritty card in a vertical format: the ornate gothic gold border frames all four edges, its engraved arches, pointed tracery and worn gilding chipped down to dull bronze at the corners. Inside the border the card splits into three bands: a narrow top band carrying "XV" in small centred engraved gold numerals, a main panel below it holding the close-up of the girl's face, and a bottom band carrying "THE DEVIL" in bold letter-spaced gold capitals with a hairline gold rule beneath it. The lettering is pressed into the card's aged surface, scratched and flaking along the strokes, never floating cleanly over the texture. The camera is a dramatic close-up tilted a few degrees into a dutch angle from slightly above, so the crown of her head fills the upper part of the panel and the frame crowds her face at the cheeks and jaw; her head is tipped back and turned slightly to her right, chin raised, looking straight up into the lens. Short blonde hair clings around her temples in sweat-damp strands, one unruly compact tuft of ahoge springs up and back from the crown, and the rest of her longer hair is gathered behind her neck and out of the crop. Her eyes are wide open so far that the whites show all around, the sclera threaded with red veins, both irises burning a hard glowing red that throws a faint red catch onto her lashes and cheekbones; her brows are dragged up and inward, and the grin splits her face far wider than it should, lips peeled back to bare two rows of sharp, overlapping teeth from canine to canine. Above her head and inside the panel floats a twisted halo of thorny red metal, its bramble coils looping and spiking into points, its red undersides glowing faintly against the smoke. Behind her shoulders, at the very edge of the crop, small leathery demon wings spread as dark bat-membrane scallops with visible finger-bones, half-swallowed by the frame. She wears a dirty military uniform, its collar grubby and creased at her throat, and at that collar an ornate medal hangs from a ribbon, its struck metal face scuffed and dulled. Beyond her, the panel opens onto a chaotic apocalyptic battlefield: black smoke columns boiling up behind her shoulders, orange firelight blazing low across a scorched ground cracked and blackened, and the silhouettes of ruined tanks with their turrets thrown off and tracks burst apart. Heavy chains hang and coil through the smoke, and skeletal remains lie half-buried in the burnt earth with ribs and skulls catching the fire. Fire is the low key light from behind and below, rimming her jaw, teeth and the wing edges in hot orange while her face stays in a cold red-and-grey shadow; the smoke diffuses it and no other light source competes. The palette is clamped to black, ash grey, dried blood red and guttering orange, with the gold border the only clean warmth. The whole card is worn, scratched, mottled with foxing and cracked along its ageing, its print slightly misregistered at the edge. Malevolent, unhinged.
