Elven Maiden on the Stairs

There's something so captivating about the quiet grace of this elven girl, resting alone on the stone steps with only a candle for company. The soft blue tones and her long flowing hair create such a dreamy atmosphere that I just had to share it. I'd love it if you could leave a like, follow for more, and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

More to See

1girl, solo, petite elf girl, pointy ears, long pointed ears, sky blue hair, long hair, flowing hair, barefoot, soles, bare feet, eyes rolling back, rolled eyes, whites of eyes showing, detailed eyes, long eyelashes, slack mouth, open mouth, parted lips, fainting, falling backward, limp, unconscious, arms limp, head tilted back, knees buckling, simple white cotton chemise, short puffed sleeves, drawstring waist, bare legs, collarbone, dutch angle, from below, close-up, foreshortening, indoor, stone stairwell landing, low candlelight, warm amber rim light, deep shadow, muted cool blue-grey palette, dramatic chiaroscuro, tense vulnerable mood, From a low dutch angle looking up past her bare feet, a petite elf girl collapses backward on a narrow stone stairwell landing, caught in the instant her strength leaves her. Her small body is slack and off-balance: her knees have buckled so her weight drops onto her heels and the outside edge of one bare foot, the other foot's toes just lifting free of the cold stone, her spine arching back, her head lolling rearward so her throat stretches and her long sky blue hair spills down over the step behind her and fans across the worn grey stone, a few strands catching the light. Her slim shoulders sag back with the puff-sleeved white cotton chemise pulled taut across her collarbone, the drawstring waist riding up a little, the hem skimming her bare thighs; the soft cloth wrinkles in the small of her back where she folds backward. Her face is tilted up and away from the lens: her eyelids are half-dropped and her eyeballs have rolled up so mostly the pale whites show beneath fluttering dark lashes, the irises reduced to slivers at the top edge, the fine detail of veins and highlights in her eyes visible; her jaw has gone loose and her lips part slackly, no tension at the corners, a small triangle of dark showing between them. Both arms trail limp at her sides, fingers uncurled, one hand grazing the stone riser. A single squat candle on the landing's stone ledge is the only light source, its warm amber flame low and to her right; it rakes a thin rim of orange along the edge of her cheek, her ear, her shoulder and the undersides of her bare toes, while everything beyond the candle's small pool of light sinks into an absolute blue-black darkness, and the flat of the stone step is cool grey where the light just reaches. The stone is rough and pitted, a few beads of condensation beaded along its edge. The air is motionless save for the slow fall of her loosened hair, quiet dread.
