character: ash_ketchum, serena_(pokemon) 1girl, 1boy, 2girls? no, 1girl 1boy only, hetero, serena_(pokemon), ash_ketchum, male focus, long hair, very long hair, honey-blonde hair, low-tied ponytail, blue eyes, eyelashes, tender expression, light smile, half-closed eyes, heavy blush, embarrassed, black sleeveless shirt, red pleated skirt, black thigh-highs, thick thighs, bare arms, short hair, black hair, brown eyes, surprised, wide-eyed, open mouth, short-sleeved t-shirt, blue jeans, lying, on back, on bed, girl on top, leaning over, face-to-face, eye contact, hands on shoulders, close proximity, intimate, cozy bedroom, pokemon plushies, pokeballs on bedsheets, warm dim lighting, sunset glow, pastel palette, shallow depth of field, cel shading, 2d animation style, side view, from side, close-up on faces, cowboy shot, The camera holds a side view across the mattress, eye-level with the pillow, so the two faces sit in the same plane and the whole bed rakes away in soft focus toward the window. He lies flat on his back across the bed's width: head sunk into the pillow at frame left, shoulders pressed into the mattress so the shirt flattens under his back, hips low and square, one knee slightly fallen outward, his arms bent with both hands loose on the duvet beside his ribs, fingers spread and motionless. His short black hair is mussed across the pillowcase; his brown eyes are wide open and fixed on her face above him, brows traveling up, mouth open in a small voiceless surprise, chin slightly lifted off the pillow. She is positioned over him, propped on both knees straddling his hips, weight carried forward on her knees into the mattress so the duvet compresses in two deep dimples and pulls in folds toward her shins; black thigh-high socks run up her legs, their tops biting a soft line into her thighs just below the hem of the red pleated skirt, which splay out and fan across his blue jeans where her legs bracket him. She leans over him with her torso pitched down, close enough that the tips of her low-tied ponytail of long honey-blonde hair slide off her shoulder and hang into the gap between their chests, its ends brushing the rumpled duvet beside his arm; the black sleeveless shirt pulls taut across her shoulders as she reaches. Both her hands rest flat on his shoulders, palms pressing the short sleeves into the mattress and pinning him lightly to it, thumbs near his collarbones. Her face is directly above his, inches away, and the eye contact holds both ways: her blue eyes are lowered onto his from beneath heavy lashes, a tender closed-lip smile at one corner of her mouth, an intense blush burning across both cheeks and the bridge of her nose, while he stares up at her, startled, his surprise answered only by that smile, and a faint answering warmth creeping up his ears. Warm dim light enters from a window behind and to the left of the frame, the last low sunset glow coming through curtains and laying a long orange band across the pillow, the edge of his cheek and the fall of her hair, while the rest of the room settles into a violet-blue dusk; the sky outside the curtain gap is a soft peach gradient, and the warm lamp-lit room beyond the bed falls away into blurred pastel bokeh. On the dresser and the shelf in the blurred background a row of rounded pokemon plushies — a round yellow one with pointed black-tipped ears, a pink one with a curled tuft, a green one — sit in soft focus; nearer at hand, three pokeballs lie scattered on the pale bedsheets, one resting against the fold of the duvet where her knee presses down, one rolled against his hip, one half-tucked under the coverlet, all catching a small two-tone highlight from the window. The palette stays pastel: peach and rose from the sunset, lavender shadow in the room's depth, cream sheets, with her red skirt and the pokeballs' red as the only saturated notes. Focus is shallow and locked on their faces, the plushies and the far corner of the room dissolving into soft discs; the shadow of her leaning shoulders falls dim across the pillow beside his head, and where her hands press down his shoulders sink just slightly into the mattress. romantic, tender
