axolotl, solo, full body, from above, underwater, facing viewer, head tilted up, quadrupedal, pale pink skin, wide smiling mouth, small black eyes, three feathery bright red external gills on each side of head, translucent dorsal fin along tail, thick tapering tail, tiny dark toe claws, smooth moist skin, pebble floor, clear shallow water, refracted sunlight from above, dappled caustics, no text, no bubble Seen from above, near-directly down through shallow, glass-clear water, the axolotl sits on a bed of rounded grey-and-cream pebbles and tilts its broad head up toward the surface, its wide mouth set in a fixed gentle smile and its two small black eyes catching two pinpoint highlights. Three feathery gill stalks fan out from each side of the head, filled with bright red filamentary blood that reddens the translucent tissue and contrasts hard against the pale pink of the face and body; the gill stalks curl slightly at their tips and are held up and back by the water around them. Its forefeet rest flat on the pebbles, splayed, each tiny dark claw touching a stone, while the hind legs trail behind with the belly settling lightly onto the gravel. The thick tail sweeps back and to the left in a slow S, the translucent fin along its top edge catching the light so it reads as a thin luminous ribbon against the darker stones beneath. Sunlight comes straight down through the rippling surface, so the animal's own shadow falls tight and soft onto the pebbles underneath it while bright caustic meshes bend and drift across the dorsal fin and the gill feathers, and a faint wobbling image of the gills is thrown onto the bottom beside the head. The palette is a narrow one -- pale pink body, vivid red gills, translucent white-cyan fin, and the cool grey-cream of the riverbed, with the water stealing all warmth except from the gills. The composition holds the whole body and the length of its tail inside the frame, with the pebbles filling the corners and no horizon, no plants crowding the subject. Everything is calm, weightless, unhurried.

Its chubby body is balanced with its flat, rounded tail resting lightly against the damp rock surface behind it, while both small rounded blue paws clutch a smooth, pale pink bivalve clam shell firmly against its chest. The creature's head tilts quizzically to the side, featuring two tiny round black dot eyes gazing innocently upward toward the viewer, flanked by prominent puffy white cheek pads that form a distinct rounded muzzle with three slender black whiskers extending outward on each side, centered by a small black triangular nose. Gentle morning sunlight descends from the upper left, casting a soft, rounded contact shadow directly beneath the creature's webbed feet and illuminating the clear turquoise water where refracted golden caustic ripples shimmer across the submerged pebbles below. The surrounding riverbank features smooth rounded pebbles, patches of tender green grass, and soft out-of-focus forest foliage in the background under an open sky, captured in a serene palette of baby blue, shell pink, warm riverbed stone, and luminous water tones, serene and whimsical.
