More to See

solo, 1girl, from above, dutch angle, from side, foreshortening, fisheye perspective, spread arms, walking, dancing, silver blonde hair, short hair, messy hair, messy blunt bangs, green eyes, white pupils, long eyelashes, looking at viewer, blush, smile, open mouth, skin fang, necklace, collarbone, large breasts, baggy clothes, white shirt, black collared jacket, blue grey jacket, open jacket, oversized jacket, jacket partially removed, long sleeves, wide sleeves, sleeves past fingers, dolphin shorts, bare legs, shoes, night city, blood splatter, halloween, will-o'-the-wisp, burning night sky, ignis fatuus, too many orange fires, walking demons and monsters, walking jack-o'-lanterns, walking skeletons, tilted horizon, wide-angle distortion, low camera above her, arms out to the sides, palms open, The camera hangs high over a narrow city street and tilts hard on the diagonal, so the whole block of tenements, shopfronts and cracked asphalt slides down the frame to the left while the fisheye bends every straight line into a bow toward the corners. In the middle of that warped street she is caught mid-step in a dancing walk, one shoe planted, the other toe just lifting off wet asphalt, her right arm flung out high on the diagonal that the horizon runs along and her left arm swept wide and low, both palms open, sleeves hanging in folds below her wrists. Because the lens sits above and beside her, her shoulders and outflung arms read large and her hips and shoes taper small, and her chin is tipped up toward the lens so that the near eye is broad and the far temple narrows over her cheek. Her short silver blonde hair is a mess of uneven strands and blunt bangs cut ragged across her forehead, some locks blown against her cheek by the hot updraught; her green eyes with their white pupils are wide open under heavy lashes and fixed straight on the viewer, blush hot on her cheeks, mouth open in a laugh with one small fang catching the firelight. A fine necklace sits at her bare collarbone inside the open white shirt, whose fabric strains loose and baggy over her large chest and shadows into a deep V. The oversized black collared jacket with its blue grey panels is half off her — one shoulder out, one sleeve slipping down her forearm, the collar twisted behind her neck, its long wide sleeves swallowed past her fingers so only fingertips show at the openings. Her dolphin shorts are short and easy on the hips, and her bare legs are flushed warm from the knee down where the fires reach them. Beneath and behind her, the street is packed with the night city's Halloween parade: skeletons walking in loose file with lanterns swinging in their ribcages, horned and hunched demons and monsters striding between them, and a great many jack-o'-lanterns walking on stumpy legs or riding shoulders, their carved faces throwing their own light. Above all of them the sky itself is burning — orange flame pluming from roofline to roofline across the fisheye dome, embers streaming sideways. Too many orange fires fill the thoroughfare, one in every doorway and on every corner, will-o'-the-wisps and ignis fatuus light drifting over the crowd as cold pale flames that refuse to light anything they touch. Blood splatter is flung across the near wall, across a shop shutter and in long drying arcs over the asphalt between her feet, and every flame, wet patch and jack-o'-lantern grin squeezes into smeared horizontal streaks the fisheye pulls around her. The fires are the only light; from every side they throw orange up under her chin, under the hem of the jacket and along the inside of her thighs, while the far street beyond the crowd stays black. Her cast shadow falls long and warped down the curled road, and the wet blood under her shoes reflects the fires brighter than the fires themselves while her own reflection stays darker and duller than her body. Palette: orange fire, black street, silver blonde hair, the blue grey of the jacket and green of her eyes the only cool notes in it. High-contrast anime illustration, strong graphic linework and sharp ink-like strokes, bold silhouettes, crisp edges, expressive shading. Wild, hot-headed, jubilant.
