1girl, solo, blonde hair, long twintails, purple eyes, huge breasts, large cleavage, white collared shirt, open collar, white blazer, purple necktie, black pleated skirt, school uniform, standing, holding scythe, large scythe, scythe pointed at viewer, holding weapon, two-handed grip, school rooftop, rooftop, chain-link fence, evening, dusk, dark, bleak, eerie, horror (mood), from below, dutch angle, foreshortening, looking down at viewer, expressionless, half-closed eyes, wind, long hair blown by wind, full moon, overcast, silhouette, lurking, anticipation The camera sits low on the rooftop tiles and canted a few degrees off level, tilted up at the girl so the dusk sky and the black mass of the school's water tower open behind her head. She stands at the roof's center with her weight sunk into her back heel, right hip pushed out, torso angled a quarter turn away from the lens while her chin drops and her eyes cut straight down the camera axis -- two flat violet discs, unblinking, lids half lowered so the whites barely show above the irises. Her mouth is a level, closed line with the faintest downward pull at one corner. Her left hand grips the scythe's black-lacquered shaft at waist height, knuckles going pale around it; her right hand wraps higher, thumb braced along the haft. The weapon's curved blade runs from her shoulder diagonally down toward the lens, and the steel tip hangs in the immediate foreground, huge and slightly soft-edged from proximity, so the entire weapon read as an arrow pointed at the viewer. The uniform sits on her exactly as issued: white shirt buttoned but open at the throat into a deep V that the sweat-cool dusk air never quite warms, purple tie hanging loose and slightly askew against her chest, white blazer open and untucked at the hem, black pleated skirt flaring left with the wind. Her twintails stream sideways off her shoulders, the ribbons at their roots dragging in the same gust, a few fine blonde strands crossing the moonlit edge of her cheek. Behind her the chain-link fence runs out along the roof's lip in a leaning perspective line, its diamond mesh fattened and blurred where the low camera looks through it; beyond that a scattered skyline of black rooftop shapes with a single red aircraft warning lamp blinking far off. The light is failing evening blue hour: a low cold steel-blue sheet from behind her shoulders, one thin band of dull rust-orange resting on the horizon, and a three-quarter moon already up and mostly swallowed in ragged overcast so that it only occasionally washes out from the clouds and grabs the tops of the twintails, the shaft's lacquer, and the scythe's flat. Everything below her collarbones falls into that blue-grey and goes dark; the tip of the blade catches one hard, cold highlight and the rest of the blade is nearly black. The rooftop is wet from an earlier shower, and the puddles reflect her like inverted dark glass, softer and dimmer than the real silhouette -- the moon smeared across them, not the girl. The only colors that survive the gloom are her hair's pale gold, the flat violet of her tie and eyes, and the steel's cold glint; the school buildings, the fencing, and the dusk are all black and cold blue-grey. Wind moves the pleats, the tie, and the twintails in the same continuous direction, and her shadow and the scythe's shadow stretch away from the moon toward the camera. Quiet dread, still
