More to See

1girl, solo, dullahan, headless, white flames from neck, large breasts, underboob, black crop top armor, black armored skirt, black armored boots, long nails, black nails, riding huge dark grey horse, offering hand to viewer, outstretched arm, foreshortened arm, from below, from behind, over-shoulder composition, close-up, extreme foreshortening, medieval street scenery, green sky, black clouds, orange full moon, night, dynamic lighting, high contrast, strong highlights and shadows, vibrant colors, layered clothing, fabric tension, natural folds, clean lineart, sharp lines, anime illustration, masterpiece, intricate details, Seen from behind and below, the camera sits almost at the horse's hoof level at the near end of a narrow medieval street, tilted steeply up so the rider's back fills the left of the frame and the street funnels away past her. Her torso is arch-less and turned slightly away: the black crop top armor straps cross her broad back, cinched tight enough that the leather and steel plates pull flat and the seams drag, a visible band of bare underboob showing at the lower edge where the crop ends and the ribs begin, her long black nails curled loosely around the horse's reins. No head sits on her shoulders; instead the neck stump opens upward and white flames stream straight out of it, blown toward the upper right by the street draft, lighting the underside of the green sky. Her black armored skirt is layered over a dark cloth skirting, the plates overlapping in staggered rows, flaring over the horse's haunches where the fabric gathers and tugs in natural folds at the hip. Her right arm reaches down and back toward the viewer, forearm foreshortened huge because it is nearest the lens, palm open, the black nails catching white flame-light along their edges — her hand is offered but no head faces the offer. She rides astride a huge dark grey horse, its broad shoulder taking up the lower right quadrant, one front hoof planted on wet cobblestone beside a cart rut, its neck arched down and to the left so the mane falls across the girl's thigh. The horse's ears are half-swiveled back; it does not look at the viewer. Above them the green sky is a sickly jade, and black clouds stack in ragged banks across it, torn and thinning around the edge of an orange full moon burning low over the rooftops on the right. The only light sources are the moon and the white flames from her neck: the moon rims the right side of the horse's shoulder, the cobblestones and the roof tiles in hard orange, and the flames throw cold white light up the left side of her armor and along the underside of her jawless neck. Between them, everything else drops into deep shadow. The medieval street is a tight corridor of timber-framed houses with overhanging upper floors, their plaster cracked, their shutters half-shut, wet stone and mud underfoot, a wooden cart wheel leaning into a doorway on the left. Her bare back, her black-nailed hand and the flames are the most detailed passages; the street beyond the middle distance simplifies into silhouetted rooflines under the moon. The white flames flicker sideways, not straight up — the only thing in the frame that admits the wind. Ominous, beautiful.
