On the left the girl leans forward on her hip with her weight on the tub's inner curve, one knee breaking the surface, a hand braced flat on the enamel behind her; her shoulder-length pastel pink hair hangs in two small side-ponytails tied with thin white ribbons, tips darkened and stuck to her wet shoulders, and the flirty white lace skeleton-print skirt floats up and outward around her hips, its translucent layers spread by the water and billowing like a bloom around her thighs, skull motifs wavering under the ripples. On the right the boy braces his elbow on the tub rim, short dark brown hair plastered flat to his forehead, droplets tracing his temples, white long-sleeved button-up soaked through so the fabric clings to his shoulders and chest, the open collar sticking to his collarbone, its hem drifting on the water. Their foreheads nearly touch; his soapy hands slide along the lace over her waist, fingertips leaving four clean tracks of suds across the floating fabric, and her suds-wet fingers rest on the soaked shirt at his chest, pressing a wet handprint into it. Her gaze flicks up at him from under half-lowered lashes, lips parted around a soft gasp, a warm flush across her cheeks and nose; his eyes angle down to her mouth, breath visibly lifting a strand of her wet bangs. The window light sits high behind the camera-left and rims the tub's rim, her shoulders and the crown of his head while the lower half of the tub falls into cool grey shadow; the only other light is a soft warm bounce off the white enamel, and steam hangs in the beam, thickest toward the water's surface. Palette is white, pastel pink, damp skin tone and slate-blue shadow, with the water's teal deepened where the tub curves. On the water surface the meniscus climbs the inside of the enamel, and every ripple circles outward from where their knees disturb the water, the floating lace riding the same wave, glossy high-finish rendering with subtle skin gradients and warm highlights, soft intimate, charged.
