1girl, solo, blue shirt, short-sleeved cornflower blue cotton t-shirt, white denim shorts, chestnut hair, shoulder-length hair, side ponytail, yellow hair ribbon, hair ribbon, from above, looking up, looking at viewer, close-up, upper body, head tilt, one eye closed, light smile, head resting on folded arms, arms crossed, sleeve crease, collarbone, sunlight, dappled light, green background, depth of field, soft focus background, warm afternoon light, The camera looks steeply down from above, close on her upper body, so the frame is filled by the crown of her head, the loose side-ponytail swinging across her shoulder, and the cornflower blue shirt spreading under her arms. She lies chest-down on sun-warmed grass with her forearms folded flat in front of her, chin and one cheek pressed into the back of her crossed wrists, elbows dug into the ground and slightly reddened at the points of contact; her weight rests on her forearms and ribcage, hips out of frame below. Because the view is from above she has to tip her head back at the neck to aim her eyes up into the lens – one eye half-shut in the glare, the other open and amused, one brow lifted a little higher than the other, a faint closed-lip smile, a strand of hair fallen across her forehead. The blue cotton rucks and creases where her upper arms press it, and the ribbed collar rides up under her jaw; a thin shadow from her shoulder falls across the fabric's chest panel. The right side of her hair is gathered into the loose ponytail bound with a yellow ribbon, and the ribbon's tails and the tip of the ponytail drape forward over her shoulder against the shirt, not behind it. Dappled light comes down through leaves overhead – irregular bright patches land on her hair, on the yellow ribbon, and on the blue cotton, while the shadowed grass around her forearms stays a deep green; the brightest patch hits the crown of her head and the top of her sleeve. Palette is restricted to cornflower blue, chestnut brown, bright yellow, and the green of the sunlit grass, with a soft green-white bokeh behind her and shallow depth of field blurring the blades of grass nearest the lens. Small single-variable detail: the grass blades directly under her folded arms are flattened and bent against the ground, springing back up just beyond her elbows, and a few crushed blades show between her fingers. The mood is bright, drowsy, sun-warmed afternoon, effortlessly playful.
