More to See

character: aoyama-kun_(penguin_highway) 1boy, solo, short black hair, blue eyes, blue collared short-sleeved shirt, shorts, backpack, open mouth, wide open mouth, uvula visible, saliva, drool, string of saliva, tongue, teeth, upper body, close-up, from below, dutch angle, head tilted back, looking up, sweat drop, dutch angle, high contrast, The camera looks up at him from below and slightly to the side, tilted into a dutch angle, so the underside of his jaw and the roof of his mouth dominate the frame. Only his head, neck and shoulders fill the crop: his short black hair, his blue eyes rolled up toward the ceiling with a faintly smug half-lidded squint, his chin thrown back and one shoulder lifted higher than the other so his neck stretches into a taut diagonal that leads the eye straight to his mouth. His mouth is stretched wide open in an exaggerated, comical grimace, upper lip pulled up hard and lower jaw dropped as far as it goes; the soft palate arches at the back of the throat and the uvula hangs clearly visible, a small pink teardrop, above the dark drop of the throat, with the ridged tongue lying flat and drawn back behind the lower teeth. Saliva pools clear and glossy in the two grooves between tongue and cheek, a thin string stretches unbroken from the roof of the mouth down to the back of the tongue, and a fat bead clings at the corner of the lower lip, catching light, just before it drips. His right hand comes up beside his cheek, fingers loosely curled, thumb near the jaw, not touching, as if he is in the middle of some self-important announcement; his left arm disappears past the bottom edge of the frame, shoulder slack. The light comes from a single spot high in front of him, cold white and hard, so his open mouth glows and the wet strands of saliva flash as tiny highlights while the roof of the mouth and the underside of the jaw sink into deep shadow; the same light rims the edge of his hair and the collar of his blue shirt with a thin flare. The background is a flat, uncluttered interior wall in a muted teal, deliberately out of focus, with no other figures and nothing legible written on it. The palette is narrow: the black of his hair, the blue of his shirt and the teal behind him, warmed only by the pink of tongue and uvula and the clear white sheen of spit. Slight caricatural exaggeration, crisp cel shading on the wet surfaces. Loud, gleeful, faintly gross.
