Her black horns and her tail curled around her hip are visible against the boards. Her yellow eyes are wide and wet, tears welling at the lower lids and one track already sliding, her mouth open in a wavering wavy line with the small skin fang showing at the corner, and three flying sweatdrops flick off the side of her face, angled with the recoil of her lean. Her gaze is locked on Ichika's face, and she does not blink. Ichika comes through the screen on all fours, shoulders first, both forearms out of the membrane ahead of her, hands flat and fingers spread on the near edge of the television's frame and on the floor beneath it; her back is level and low, her hips still inside the glass, knees bent behind the rim. The torn white dress hangs off her in long ripped strips, one strap snapped, the hem shredded and darkened at the ends, and her long black hair falls straight down around her cheeks and pools on the floor ahead of her. Her red halo turns slowly above her head, the only warm hue in the room. Her eyes glow blue from within, an eye trail streaking back from them into the screen's white haze, and underneath the glow the red of her irises burns through. Her head is tilted, chin lowered, and a slow seductive smile curves one corner of her mouth while her gaze holds Kasumi's terrified face. Her right hand extends forward past the frame's edge and her fingertips and thumb cup Kasumi's chin, tilting it further up; the contact compresses the soft underside of Kasumi's jaw, and her thumb rests just below the lower lip. The palette is cold blue-white screen light against deep near-black shadow, warm red only in the halo and Ichika's hidden irises, and Kasumi's orange-and-black costume as the one saturated mass at the bottom of the frame. Where the light from the screen passes over the bulge in the screen's surface it bends into a thin bright caustic ring on the floor in front of the television, and the planks' seams there catch the light in a broken, wavering line. Chilling, alluring.
