The Official National Ancestor Initiative
This was one of my early Tsubaki 2 tests. At the time, I was trying to create the "official human ancestor" of a certain monster-collecting game world — presumably reconstructed by patriotic researchers for educational outreach, civilizational confidence, and other highly scientific purposes. The result, however, seems to suggest that the ancestral prototype was not especially human. Instead, it came out looking like a suspiciously convincing hybrid of reptile, bear, and possibly raccoon. Which, to be fair, does imply a very dynamic and highly localized theory of evolution. So yes: according to this early test, the people of this country may trace their origins not to apes, but to an armored lizard-mammal holding a stone knife and a state-issued identity badge. A truly vigorous national origin story.

- Original Prompt
- First-stage resurrected fossil creature for a Japanese monster-collecting RPG, official encyclopedia illustration feel, clean full-body creature artwork, simple pale background, polished and iconic, highly readable silhouette, all-ages, non-erotic, not realistic, not horror, cute but unsettling, battle-capable A small first-stage fossil revival monster themed around a “manufactured ancestor.” It is falsely displayed by a fictional evil organization as the prehistoric ancestor of the Khitan region’s people, but it clearly looks like a cheap artificial reconstruction made from incomplete fossil fragments, propaganda assumptions, and low-budget revival technology. It should look like an awkward primitive half-primate half-monster specimen, not a real human ancestor: squat hunched body, long arms, short legs, wide feet, heavy brow ridge, broad muzzle, small rounded ears, amber eyes, reddish-brown coarse fur, cracked gray-beige fossil plates, exposed stone-like bone patches, and a short bony tail stump. Its expression is mischievous and suspiciously clever, as if it knows the museum label is lying. Make the “fake ancestor” theme visually obvious. Add restoration seams, metal staples, revival-tank tubing, a cheap chest port, specimen tag, fake ancestry stamp, museum label plates, and a small background lineage diagram ending in a question mark. The creature should look over-documented and over-certified, as if official paperwork is doing more work than biology. Include a harmless satirical dining-knife motif: one hand may hold a crude stone shard shaped like a small table knife, or one claw may resemble a blunt dining knife. No gore, no blood, no horror. The final impression should be: primitive fossil mascot, fraudulent museum ancestor, failed lab revival, strange but cute enough for a monster-catching RPG.
