Sybelle appears initially as a serving girl with an important guest. Her cryptic demeanor and mysterious aura suggest a secretive past. Like Felicyta, she too clearly harbors secrets and appears to be caught in a precarious situation. The Rubric Maxim is a story that takes place in a low-fantasy setting similar to early 20th century Europe. The story follows a group of young people from a remote valley who are drawn into a perilous journey to protect a mysterious girl, whose secrets could unravel their world.
