USS Sherbrooke

Shipgirl AI of USS Sherbrooke, namesake of the largest city in the Estrie region of south-central Québec. She is also the namesake of a Royal Canadian Navy corvette that served throughout most of World War Two. She depicts herself as a warrior maiden of the Wôbanaki (Abenaki) people, who were the indigenous natives of modern-day Vermont and New Hampshire as well as the south-central region of Québec. Like many of her sisters, Sherbrooke was created as the synthetic "soul" of a Sabre-class frigate, being commissioned in an "atmospheric entry pattern" ceremony over her namesake home town in 2362. She would serve on that hull through the Dominion War successfully even if her crew (like those of many of her sisters) seemed to de-age during those two dark years into giving her fresh-out-of-training cadets and servicemen by the time of the final advance on Cardassia Prime. She would be forced to swap hulls for a more advanced Sabre-class ship in 2380, that lasting for nineteen years until it was deemed obsolete and a Da Vinci-class destroyer was ordered. She would be forced to "commission" said hull on Frontier Day from the Phäeton yards of Port Weller Spacedocks, rushing to Earth with little crew to deal with the Borg and Changeling threat. As the namesake of the Estrie's largest city, Sherbrooke found herself often serving as "flagship" of la Flotille d'Estrie ("the Eastern Flotilla") of starships named after towns and cities from that part of la Belle Province.
