[Short Story] Two Dragons
The convent bell echoed through the night as a series of firm knocks shattered the silence. One of the sisters slowly opened the heavy wooden door and found two unfamiliar young women standing before her. One had fiery orange hair tied into twin tails, with small horns rising from her head, while the other had short purple hair. Together, they were carrying the body of a severely wounded man, his body covered in burns and his right arm completely gone. "Please... save him," the purple-haired girl said with unexpected calm. The sister barely had time to ask who the man was before the two strangers turned to leave. "Who is he?" The fiery orange-haired girl didn't even look back. " Someone too weak." Without another word, the two spread their enormous wings and disappeared into the clouds. As they flew over the mountains, Eldrun folded her arms, clearly annoyed. "You showed up just as I was about to finish him. You ruined a fight that was finally starting to get interesting." Strym let out a quiet sigh. "After what he did, he earned it. Besides, you've been awake causing trouble for far too long. You should go back to sleep for a few more decades." Eldrun clicked her tongue in irritation. "I haven't had nearly enough fun yet. Maybe I'll head to Nochteria... those vampires always know how to put up a good fight. Or perhaps I'll visit the Holy Theocracy and see how much their angels have improved." Strym shook her head. "I'm not going anywhere near the Holy Theocracy. If they recognize me, the news will spread across the entire continent. After that, I won't be able to wander through cities in peace... or enjoy their food." Eldrun grinned teasingly. "Coward." "Practical." "Same thing." The two continued their flight until they disappeared beyond the horizon. Far away, within the quiet convent, the sisters fought desperately to save the life of the unknown man.
