USS Kénogami

Shipgirl AI of USS Kénogami, namesake of a former pulp and paper mill town located where the Rivière aux Sables flowed into the Rivière Saguenay close to the former city of Jonquière; the town would merge with Jonquière in 1975 and Jonquière would merge with neighbouring municipalities to form the mega-city of Saguenay in 2002. She perpetuates a Flower-class corvette which served on the Atlantic and Gulf of Saint Lawrence convoy runs during World War Two. She takes the form of a dark-haired Terran Caucasian teenager. She was created as the synthetic "soul" of a Sabre-class frigate, being commissioned over the site of her namesake town in 2361. Like many of her sisters, she performed well during the Dominion War, though her hull had to be condemned a year after the Treaty of Bajor was signed. That hull would last for twenty years, it being paid off two years before the turn of the XXV Century. By then, Kénogami had decided on a change of pace, then applied to become the SI of a support starship assigned to the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. A modified Horizon-class starship was built at the Big Lodge Starworks over Oskotim Wick, commissioned in 2400. A year later, Kénogami was one of the many ships that responded to the Borg and Changeling attack on Starfleet during Frontier Day, she enduring that well. Given the history of her namesake town, she took interest in forestry, training herself in the use of axes. Those axes got good use in the Dominion War against the Jem'Hadar, though she would turn its use in peacetime into creating her own personal cabin overlooking her namesake lake south of the urban part of Saguenay.
