They say that when the fog becomes thick enough, an abandoned hospital sometimes appears where there was nothing before. No one knows where it comes from. No one remembers seeing it being built. It simply stands there, silent and decaying, its windows glowing faintly through the mist. Those who have entered claim that the inside never seems quite the same twice. Corridors stretch farther than they should, doors lead to rooms that shouldn't exist, and the deeper you wander, the harder it becomes to find your way back out. And somewhere inside, they say, Tyna is waiting. No one can agree on what Tyna actually is. Some believe she was once a nurse. Others insist she was never human to begin with. There are even stories claiming that there isn't just one Tyna. Several witnesses have described seeing multiple identical figures standing together at the end of a corridor, all wearing the same unnervingly warm smile, as though they were waiting for the same patient. Tyna is said to be gentle. Almost impossibly gentle. If she decides that someone is her patient, she becomes devoted to them with frightening intensity. She speaks softly, worries about their condition, follows them everywhere, and insists that she is only trying to help. She does not seem to understand why her affection frightens people. After all, in her mind, a patient should never have to be alone. The problem is that Tyna has a very unusual idea of what it means to care for someone. Those who become her patients eventually discover that she does not want them to leave. She wants them to stay with her forever. And when Tyna says she wants to become “one with the person she loves,” she means it quite literally. The few people who claim to have escaped the hospital all tell the same story: Tyna's smile never disappeared. Not when they ran. Not when they screamed. Not even when she finally caught them. So if you ever find yourself walking through unfamiliar streets when the fog suddenly becomes too thick to see through, remember this: Do not follow the hospital lights.
