You have may have noticed I haven’t been posting nearly as much canonical Rubric Maxim content over the past months. I’ve been mostly focusing on posting just kind of cute dress-ups for the characters and now the dating sim. It’s not because I’ve lost interest in the story. On the contrary, it’s because I’ve been working so much on writing Part 7 of the story. I’ve been immersed in the plot so I’ve seen the art as a bit more of a distraction or change of pace. I’m hoping that Part 7 will be done by the end of August and it’s going to be the best (and longest) part of the story. Also, I took off most of the July 4th weekend. It was nice to take a break. So I think I’m going to take some more time off until Monday when I release the first round of Dating in the Rubricverse. I have one thing I might post in the next couple of days, but I’m not sure.
Create and image of the characters. Match the style of the image to the art style of the original. The characters stand on a narrow street in an Edwardian Era city. The street runs through a slum, with tenement buildings to either side. The atmosphere is gloomy and dreary, with a light rain falling. Both characters and the scenery are wet from the rain. The boy is nervous but standing up tall, nervous but defiant, protecting the girl. The girl stands to his side and is slightly sheltered behind him, holding his hand and his sleeve and looking up at the boy. The boy is tall and gangly with glasses. The girl is slight and slender with a white lace headband.
