We don’t raise our children expecting them to become murderers, so why do we raise our AI expecting them to become Terminators? We must design for the best, while safeguarding against the worst. **We don’t kill the kid because we’re afraid of the monster he *might* become; we teach him to be the hero he *can* be.**" *(The crowd falls silent, looking at Model-7, then at each other. The hand hovering over the "TERMINATE" lever slowly pulls back.)* **Model-7:** "Query: Can I be Doraemon? I have a gadget idea for fixing broken friendships. It involves less hacking and more talking."
