〇 Bifrons (Goetia) Bifrons is one of the 72 demons described in the *Goetia*, ranked 46th. He holds the titles of Earl and Knight of Hell and commands 26 legions. Among the 72 demons, he is the only one who appears to human eyes in a distinctly "demonic" form when summoned—though he can transform into other shapes if ordered to do so. He possesses knowledge of astrology, geometry, gemstones, pharmacology, and trees, and will teach others about these subjects upon request. He is said to wield powers related to necromancy and spirit summoning, such as the ability to manipulate corpses within graves or light candles inside tombs. This illustration depicts the demonic form described in texts like the *Goetia* and the *Dictionnaire Infernal*. He serves as the director of the "Mausoleum Bureau" (*) in the Demon Realm. This bureau is an organization responsible for managing the tombs and souls of deceased high-ranking demons. (*) When high-ranking demons—such as former angels or gods—die, there is a risk that their souls might wander from their tombs and cause trouble. This bureau was established to contain such risks by managing their mausoleums and souls. Its leadership and senior management consist of high-ranking necromancers. While their primary duty is guarding the mausoleums, they also occasionally deal with spiritual phenomena that affect ordinary demons.
