A young boy hurries forward in a tense, uneven walk, dressed in a Little Red Riding Hood costume featuring a vibrant crimson-red hooded cloak pulled securely over his head. The hood tightly frames his face and short brown hair, while his knuckles whiten as both hands clutch the gathered red fabric tightly against his chest. His posture leans forward in flight, yet his head is wrenched back over his right shoulder in panic, his wide, teary brown eyes darting toward the path behind him with trembling lips parted in fear. Stalking just paces behind him in the midground, a dark, heavy-set hyena-like beast prowls on all four clawed paws, its head held low in a predatory crouch. The beast's body is covered in charcoal-grey fur beneath a massive, bristling ridge of spaggy black mane that crests along its spine, its jaw slightly parted to display sharp canine teeth, and its glowing crimson irises with stark yellow sclera locked directly onto the boy's back. Ancient, gnarled trees with bare, twisted branches arch overhead like skeletal claws, nearly blotting out the navy sky. The only illumination is a single shaft of pale, cold silver moonlight breaking through the dense canopy, catching the vivid red weave of the cloak and the creature's luminous eyes while plunging the twisted roots and briars into deep, murky indigo shadows. Low, dense ground mist curls around their ankles, swirling into thin wisps where the boy's boots kick against damp leaves and the beast's paws tread through the damp earth. Eerie suspense.
