Saffron Peck (DND) A journey begins

Searching the forest for herbs and materials an old wizard Theodore Peck heard crying in the air, following the sound he found a wrecked camp site. The camp was empty besides a pointy eared baby inside the torn tent. Unsure of what to do, Teodore Peck picked up the baby and searched the surrounding area calling out to anyone around, when that turned up nothing he proceeded to the nearby town of Hawksriver, a small town way everyone knows everyone. Looking through the town and asking everyone he could, Teodore Peck found no babies unaccounted for and no known elves passing through. With no other option he took the child in, to raise and teach for as long as it takes for someone searching for the kid to find them. In the absence of the child's origin Theodore named her Saffron after his favorite spices. As the years rolled by Theodore would teach all he could of magic through study and craft. He had found Saffron has an apt for magic and would start teaching more adept techniques. Until one day while Saffron was out going chores a strange letter will arrive.
