She has just kicked one foot lightly against the water below her, sending up a burst of spray caught mid-arc in the bright overhead light, each droplet flashing with a pearlescent, iridescent sheen. She looks down over the spray toward the water, her elevated position on the rock placing her physically above and apart from the viewer, composed and slightly unreachable. Through the scattering droplets, her gaze catches the viewer for a brief moment, the spray both veiling and revealing her expression. The cold shock of the water kicked against her skin has drawn out the faintest unguarded flicker of a laugh, quickly softening back toward her usual composure. Sunlight falls directly from overhead, bright and diffused, casting only the shallowest pastel-toned shadows across the white rock and her skin; the pale limestone below throws a soft secondary reflection up along her jaw. The palette stays dominated by white rock and pale sky-blue water across most of the frame, warmed only faintly by her pale skin against the cool silver of her hair, with fully saturated color reserved only for the small emerald accessories at her ear and throat and her vivid pink eyes. Rendering with a white-dominant high-key finish, pastel-toned shadows, pearlescent and iridescent sheen concentrated in the airborne water droplets, soft watercolor-like blur at the water's edge. Vertical 2:3 composition, framed from mid-thigh up on the rock, her face and eyes clearly readable at thumbnail size despite the scattering spray.
