A low-angle three-quarter view looking up from the surface of an all-weather red tartan running track, positioned just beyond the painted white starting line. A teenage girl holds the tense "set" position of a sprint crouching start. She wears a clean white short-sleeved gym uniform shirt tucked securely into fitted navy-blue gym bloomers, white athletic crew socks, and laced track sneakers; her ears are completely bare and unadorned, and her bare legs show firm athletic definition. Her hips are thrust upward higher than her shoulders, arching her spine into a poised, coiled line of kinetic tension. Her weight presses forward onto the arched fingertips of both hands planted firmly behind the white line, thumbs aligned parallel to the stripe without crossing it, her locked arms acting as solid vertical supports beneath her shoulders. Her lead foot is planted firmly against the front pedal of the steel starting block with her knee tucked tight under her chest, while her back leg stretches rearward, the ball of her shoe driving against the raised rear pedal. Her head is held steady along the line of her back, her amber eyes locked with razor-sharp determination straight down the lane toward an unseen finish line. Her long, straight dark blue hair cascades over her shoulders, with loose bangs and center strands hanging straight down toward the rubber track surface in response to gravity. Harsh, direct daylight strikes from high above, casting a stark, foreshortened silhouette directly beneath her suspended torso onto the textured crimson ground. Tense anticipation.
