14 subjects, 1old man, 12 animals, 1 baby animal, chibi, from above, wide shot, mediating, argument, animals fighting, group shot, `looking up`, `looking at another`, `open mouth`, `pout`, `puffy cheeks`, `blush`, `wide-eyed`, `half-closed eyes`, `light smile`, `raised eyebrow` A high-angle wide shot looking down upon a chaotic, colorful huddle of animals. In the center, an elderly man with silver hair and a short white beard, dressed in a deep-brown haori over a grey kimono, stands with his arms spread wide in a calming gesture; his expression is a mix of kindness and stern authority, his gaze sweeping across the group to maintain order. Surrounding him are the twelve zodiac animals in a heated, noisy quarrel: a small brown rat on hind legs with paws raised; a sturdy grey-brown ox snorting and pawing the ground; an orange tiger with black stripes baring its fangs; a white rabbit with ears pressed back and puffed cheeks; an azure-scaled oriental dragon with golden whiskers coiling upright; a sleek green snake in a sharp S-curve; a chestnut horse with pinned-back ears stamping a hoof; a woolly cream sheep with head lowered; a small brown monkey waving its arms wildly; a glossy red-combed rooster with flared wings; a shaggy tan dog with raised hackles; and a dark-bristled boar snorting steam from its tusks. Tucked between the fighting animals, a small, fluffy, round-eyed baby animal cub huddles low to the ground, looking up anxiously at the grandfather for protection. The scene is set on a seamless, soft-pastel cream ground. Bright, diffused light from above casts soft, rounded shadows beneath each figure, emphasizing their plump, chibi proportions. The palette is a vibrant mix of pastel backgrounds and saturated animal coats. The mood is playfully chaotic.
