Her long wavy black hair is soaked through, strands glued to her temple, cheek and neck, the crimson inner highlights visible where the firelight passes through the wet clumps, and individual raindrops beaded in the hair lit as tiny blue-white points. Her amber eyes are bright under low brows, fixed past the camera on the flight of the cards, a determined playful grin bared with the corner of her mouth hitched high. Rain falls as fine slanted threads with a few heavy drops sharp on the near plane, and the background bricks, ladder and far alley mouth blur into deep blue bokeh so only her face, her throwing hand and the nearest burning cards stay crisp.
