Satsuki Kiryuin: Sun-Kissed Beach Day

I simply had to capture Satsuki's commanding presence in a rare moment of summer relaxation. The glistening sweat and her intense, piercing gaze in this beach setting really highlight a side of her that I find absolutely captivating. Schwarze Kraehe

character: kiryuuin_satsuki close-up, 1girl, kiryuuin_satsuki, long hair, black hair, blue eyes, sweat, sweatdrop, steam, steamy body, dripping wet, wet skin, armpit hair, bikini, bow bikini, front-tie bikini top, side-tie bikini bottom, tongue piercing, beach, from below, looking at viewer, tongue out, open mouth, half-closed eyes, head tilt, arms up, arm behind head, bare shoulders, bare legs, nail polish, wet hair, ocean backdrop, bright daylight, high contrast A tight close-up seen from slightly below, the camera almost at her collarbone height, tilted up so her chin and jaw overhang the frame's lower third and the sky and a thin band of ocean fill the top corner. She fills nearly the whole picture: her torso enters from the bottom edge and her raised right arm climbs diagonally to the upper left corner, elbow bent, forearm passing behind her head so the hollow of her armpit is fully exposed toward the lens, the coarse dark tuft of armpit hair standing out matted and gleaming with moisture against the taut skin. Her left shoulder rolls back, weight settled into her left hip so the whole line of her body curves in a slow S. Her long black hair is soaked through, strands stuck flat across her forehead and one wet lock clinging along her right cheek to the hinge of her jaw; the rest sweeps behind her ear and out past the right edge of the frame. She tilts her head down toward the viewer, chin lowered, half-closed blue eyes fixed on the lens with a cool, level stare, one brow faintly raised. Her tongue is out, curling over her lower lip, and the small steel barbell of her tongue piercing catches the light as a hard white pinpoint against the wet pink. A fat single sweatdrop slides down her temple, swelling at the outer corner of her eyebrow, holding there before it falls. She wears a white bikini with a front-tie top, the knot pulled tight at her sternum, its bows visibly darkened and heavy with water; the side-tied bottom sits at her hips just below the crop. Every plane of her skin is slick — water dripping from the point of her raised elbow, running in thin continuous threads down her ribs, beading in the small dip above her collarbone. Steam rises off her shoulders and upper chest in soft pale curls that break up against the bright sky behind her, reading as the only soft-edged thing in a hard-lit frame, and where the steam thins it hazes the far ocean into a pale grey-white band. The sun is high and to the right, a single hard source: it strikes her raised arm, shoulder and the right side of her throat with hot rim light, throws a crisp small shadow from her chin onto her chest, and lets the left side of her neck and the hollow under her jaw fall into deep warm shadow. The palette stays salt-white, wet black, and sun-baked skin, with one cool blue slice of sea at the upper right. Wet sand and glare are cropped out entirely; only the ocean's sparkle line survives at the top edge. Ferocious, sun-struck.
