Story Chapter 60: Transfer Orders
The guard waited until Seiri had fully turned around. "Keep your hands behind your back," he instructed. Seiri let out a quiet sigh but complied, bringing her wrists together behind her. The guard took a pair of handcuffs from his duty belt. "These restraints are for transport." He carefully secured one cuff around her right wrist. **Click.** Then he guided her other wrist into position. **Click.** He checked both cuffs to ensure they were properly fitted—not overly tight, but secure. Seiri shifted her shoulders uneasily and instinctively pulled against the restraints for a brief moment. "...Urgh..." The chain between the cuffs rattled softly. The guard noticed the movement immediately. "Don't struggle." "I'm not trying to," Seiri replied with an irritated sigh. "They're just uncomfortable." The guard maintained his calm, professional tone. "The restraints are standard procedure during transport. The more you pull against them, the more uncomfortable they'll feel." Seiri exhaled slowly, relaxing her shoulders. "...Fine." The guard stepped to her side. "I also need to inform you that you are being transferred to juvenile detention while your case proceeds." Seiri lowered her gaze for a moment, absorbing the news. "...Juvenile detention..." Without another word, the guard gestured toward the corridor outside the holding cell, preparing to escort her to the transport vehicle.
