"Bianca or Nera?" Tip Jars
I started playing Dragon Quest as a wee child, back when it was called Dragon Warrior in the Burger and Eagle country. Most of these rpgs came out before I was even born. It was easy to take for granted the influences the DQ series had on other rpgs. To this day, I don't think I've seen a game's story starts with the birth of the character and ending with a battle with your son and daughter. DQ5 had a lot of respect for player choice, letting you customized your monster party in ways that almost never mirror another's playthrough. But the most famous choice is who you marry, which wonderful woman do you share this magical adventure with. I of course chose Nera because she had healing magic. I was too young and uncultured to respect 2ds for their waifu potentials. Now days? I guess I'll let the tip jar decide.
