Band 1, top: a white-haired demon girl, very long hair falling past her shoulders in heavy strands, a ragged ahoge lifting off the crown, bangs parted clean to either side, a small hair ornament and clip at her temple, short pale horns curving back from her forehead, violet eyes. Her black coat is slung over her shoulders and hangs away from her neck, black-gloved fingertips resting at her collar; her chin is lifted, eyes half-lidded and looking down her nose at the viewer, one lip corner barely curled. Cool rim light traces the horn's outer edge and the lift of the ahoge.
Band 2: a blue-haired girl, long hair with strands falling between her eyes, a hairband holding the sides back, blue eyes, a bell at her throat and a small earring catching light. She is turned three-quarter to the left, cheek nearly against the frame edge, one gloved hand raised with the fingers loosely curled an inch from her chin, and she looks sideways at the viewer through lowered lashes with her lips parted on a held breath.
Band 3: a purple-haired girl, medium hair in heavy sidelocks framing her cheeks under a military garrison cap pulled low, hair ornament and clip at one side, purple eyes wide and glossy. She is caught mid-turn, chin swung over her shoulder toward the lens, mouth open a fraction as if startled; a straw-blonde sidelock and the cap brim cut across the upper corner of her frame, and the rim light catches the wet lower lid.
Band 4, bottom: a brown-haired girl, low twintails falling forward over her collarbones and tied with bows, a hair bow above one ear, yellow eyes behind thin-rimmed glasses, faintly pointy ears. She is very close to the lens, head tipped down, red-gloved fingers pushing the bridge of her glasses up her nose, and she looks up over the lenses at the viewer.
Every band shares one light setup: a single soft key from the left of the frame, its falloff modelling the right cheek into gentle shadow, and a hard rim outlining each head from behind so the hair and coat edges separate from the darkness. The surroundings in each band are crushed almost to black, and the rim light is the only thing that describes them, hanging as faint volumetric haze around the hair. Scattered reflections of the key sit in the irises of all four pairs of eyes as small bright crescents. Grading is deep teal in the shadows and warm amber on the lit skin, a 35mm film look with visible grain across the black gutters, shallow depth of field, quiet, cinematic, brooding.
