Just wondering… 🥺

Many of the people I mutually follow write stories. However, since I didn’t start following them from the beginning of their series, I often have trouble understanding the story when I start reading from the middle 💦 And when there are many characters, it’s hard for me to remember who is who 🥺 A lot of people kindly leave comments on my posts, so I really want to return the favor. But since I’m reading the story from the middle, I worry I might write something off-topic or inappropriate that could upset the creator… So I’d like to ask those who write stories: Is it okay to leave comments that aren’t about the story itself? For example, is it fine to just say things like “cool,” “beautiful,” or “cute” as a reaction to the artwork? I sometimes don’t leave comments because I can’t write a proper response to the story, and I end up just hitting the like button… which makes me feel very guilty. I’m really sorry 🥲 Also, I use the PixAI app. When I need to translate something, I take a screenshot and show it to Copilot or ChatGPT for help. Sometimes I use web translators, but native English often uses a lot of abbreviations, and even after translating, the Japanese doesn’t always make sense to me 😅 Because of this, when a story is complex or has many unique terms, it takes a long time to understand. Right now, it’s not possible for me to spend that much time reading every single story, so sometimes I just skim through or only leave a like. Even though I truly want to become friends, I feel really bad that I keep receiving comments without being able to return them properly 🥺
