Bolo: The Reincarnated Gear Pilot Early Life: A Mechanic with a Mysterious Past Bolo grew up as an orphan in Scuttle Town, a coastal village in the desert realm of Sequin Land, where magic and ancient technology coexist in an uneasy balance. Raised by Uncle Mimic, a renowned relic hunter and mechanic, Bolo was always surrounded by the hum of machinery and the whispers of forgotten lore. From a young age, he displayed an uncanny talent for understanding complex mechanisms, often repairing broken devices with an intuition that baffled even seasoned engineers. Despite his mechanical genius, Bolo was known for his clumsiness in social situations, often tripping over his own feet or saying the wrong thing at the worst possible moment. Unbeknownst to him, Bolo’s origins were far from ordinary. He was found as a toddler near the wreckage of an ancient airship, with no memory of his parents or how he survived the crash. Mimic took him in, raising him alongside Shantae, a half-genie girl with her own mysterious heritage. As they grew up together, Bolo developed a deep admiration for Shantae, often trying (and failing) to impress her with his inventions. Yet, beneath his cheerful exterior, Bolo harbored a sense of incompleteness, as if a part of him was missing.
