Horizon’s Edge: The Thaw of a Crimson Winter

There’s a specific feeling to standing on a ridge when the air is freezing but the sun is blinding. This piece was about capturing that tension—the heavy, dark silhouette of the parka against an overexposed, golden-hour sky. I wanted the snow bokeh and air particles to feel almost tangible, like you’re breathing in the cold with her. It’s a cinematic anime portrait that favors mood over perfection, leaning into the lens flare to tell a story of endurance and quiet observation.
