Already summer?

There's not really much to say about my first published artwork of Akita Neru, just filler content. In the Northern Hemisphere, summer has just begun, but as an Australian, here it is now winter. Keeping with the Y2K contest theme with street fashion (based on Neru's depiction in Zako), the signiture flip phone, and the retro anime styling. Also in real life, I had visited Ettalong Beach (lovely coastal town btw), and it harks back to this artwork that I had made prior. Copyright notice: Idk who owns rights to Neru's design; she is a fan deriavitive of Hatsune Miku after all. Artwork ownership 2026 by Azalea; free to use but proper credit/attribution required.

character: akita_neru. In a far-shot side view, akita_neru walks on a waterfront sidewalk alongside a beach. Her blonde hair is tied in a side ponytail. She wears a white collared shirt with a pink bowtie, a pink cardigan wrapped around her waist, a black pleated skirt, and knee-high socks. She holds up a yellow flip phone in her hand but looks ahead. The image is rendered in a cute cel-shaded anime style with strong hand-drawn animation vibes, featuring flat, high-contrast colors, clean outlines, and simple shadows that mimic classic TV anime frames.
