A getaway for the World Cup?

This isn't canonical; it's more of a humorous comic strip alluding to the current sporting phenomenon. I must be honest, I'm not a football fanatic, however, this time I did get up the nerve to enjoy the World Cup matches in my country, which was fun to a certain extent and also gave me the idea for this comic strip. Poor Matt will pay dearly for lying to Maria about his distraction, which instead of minutes lasted more than an hour.
