USS Sainte-Thérèse
Shipgir AI of USS Sainte-Thérèse, namesake of a small municipality near the world-famous Percé Rock on the coast of Québec's Gaspé Peninsula. She is also the namesake of a Royal Canadian Navy frigate which served in both the Second World War and the early Cold War years. Being an adopted Québécoise, Sainte-Thérèse did as many of her sisters would do and moved to shape her human body in the form of a "forced augment", those people tricked by Khan Noonien Singh's allies to relaunch the violence of the years before the 1970 Québec Crisis in hopes of destabilizing the national and provincial governments of the Dominion; as is well known, few Caucasian-descent victims of such genetic experiments would survive the end of the Third World War, much less endure the Post-Atomic Horror. Sainte-Thérèse was created as the synthetic "soul" of a Shi'Kahr-class light cruiser, a vessel primarily designed for logistical support work. In the hands of the shiprights of Port Weller Spacedocks, said design was made into a more balanced scientific support ship with sufficient armament to defend itself in case of issues when exploring the unknown. Said armament would increase post-Wolf 359, which would carry Sainte-Thérèse through the Dominion War with little issue save for the posting of senior officers and non-commissioned members from her ship's company to help form the nucleii of new ships' companies to replace the horrid losses of that time. Like her sister Valleyfield, Sainte-Thérèse was disgusted by the sheer slaughter of those two dark years, though she did not fall into an Abyssal state as her once-lost sister did. Post-war, Sainte-Thérèse would be paid off in 2383, her hull worn out after thirty-three years of hard service. She would get the chance to change tacks in her sevice, becoming the SI of an Horizon-class science ship built by the Amishk at their Big Lodge Starworks over their homeworld of Oskotim Wick; like her sister Vanier would several years later, Sainte-Thérèse would desire to help heal in lieu of causing harm. She would get the chance to practice same in the wake of the effective destruction of the Romulan Star Empire shortly after recommissioning; this would see her travel all over the former territory of said government for years afterwards. Fortunately for her, she escaped the whole Frontier Day issue by just being too far away from Jack Crusher's signal; the two Changelings who were aboard her hull were easily disposed of. While not a practicing Catholic as her namesake saint (one of the Martyrs of Compiègne) was, Sainte-Thérèse is a very spiritual person for a shipgirl, which gives her a worldview quite similar to the more aware of her kind like Penetang and Saint Stephen.
