He simply watched her quietly. However, just before she leaned any closer, Luka glanced past him and noticed the five children staring at them with intense concentration. Galuno and Galune had even risen onto their toes, as though afraid they might miss something. Luka immediately stopped. For several seconds, the banquet hall became completely silent. In the end, she restrained herself. Instead of kissing him, she gently brushed her thumb across his cheek and gave him a mysterious smile. “I’ll give it to you later.” Gakupo blinked. “Later?” “Yes.” Still holding his face, Luka lowered her voice deliberately. “After the children are all asleep.” Gakupo immediately understood what she meant. Luka did not know whether to laugh or sigh. “But this gift only needs to be known by Father.” “That makes it even more unfair,” Galuno immediately replied. “We’re family too,” Galune added. “Family should see it together.” Gakupo cleared his throat lightly, as though trying to conceal his amusement. “This particular gift may not be suitable for everyone to see together.” Hearing their father say the same thing only made the twins more confused. “Why?” “Is it a very big secret?” They both took another step toward Luka, clearly prepared to continue questioning her. Standing nearby, Galuri covered her mouth and laughed softly. “Brother is right.” The twins turned toward her. “Aren’t you curious too, Sister?” Galuri answered gently, “I am curious, but we shouldn’t disturb Father and Mother.” Galuno and Galune exchanged a glance, clearly not yet prepared to give up completely.
