Iris: (Holds up the blue jeans, a triumphant grin spreading across her face) Well, Ash, take a look at yourself! A trainer won't need these any longer! (She giggles teasingly, swaying the heavy denim back and forth just out of his reach) Ash: (Blinks in confusion, adjusting his cap) What do you mean, Iris? Why wouldn't I need my— (He looks down, suddenly feeling a cold breeze against his legs. His eyes widen as he stares directly at his white boxer shorts covered in blue vertical stripes) Ash: (His face flushes bright crimson as he jumps back, shrieking in absolute embarrassment) Ah! My pants! Iris, give them back! That's not funny! Iris: (Laughs heartily, stuffing the folded blue jeans securely into her traveling bag) I'm gonna put your pants in my bag because I'm going to battle you someday! Consider it a souvenir from the reigning Unova Champion! Ash: (Stammering, his face turning as red as his cap as he tries to cover himself) T-That's not the point! I need my pants back! Hand them over right now! Iris: (Teasingly puts her hands on her hips, leaning in close) Oh, come on, Ash! A true Pokémon Master should be ready for any kind of terrain, even if they're caught entirely off guard! What's a little breeze going to do? Ash Ketchum: (Frantically gesturing down at his striped boxers) W-what are you talking about?! I can't battle looking like that! Iris: (Grinning mischievously, waving a hand dismissively) Hee-hee, you can battle like that. Ash: (Crossing his arms defensively) No, I can't. Iris: (Leaning forward with a smirk) You can. Ash: (Stamping his foot) I can't! Iris: (Teasingly) You can! Ash: (Yelling in frustration) I can't! Iris: (Mocking tone) You can! Ash: (Throwing his hands in the air) I can't, I can't, and I can't! Iris: (Pumping her fist in the air, completely ignoring his protests) So, I'm gonna battle you with all I got! Ash: (Groans loudly, slapping his forehead) You gotta be kidding! Iris: (Shrugging with a playful giggle) I guess you must battle in your underwear. Ash: (Pointing an accusing finger, his face still bright red) Trust me, Iris! I don't want to battle looking like that! Just hand over my pants and that's final! Iris: (Smirking proudly, crossing her arms) Do you expect me to hand over a pair of pants to a Kanto trainer like you? (Gilligan Cut: Moments later...) Iris: (Sighing with an amused smile, pulling the denim out of her backpack) Okay, you convinced me. (She hands over Ash's pants to him) Ash: (Sighing with immense relief) Thank goodness. (He grabs them and hurriedly puts his pants on, pulling them up and fastening his belt as fast as humanly possible) Iris: (Rubbing the back of her neck, offering an apologetic but still amused grin) Sorry about that. (She laughs, unable to entirely suppress her amusement at his reaction)
