Nesia-chan's Side Diary No. 1: Free Meals?! While I was trying to find a job, I became so hungry that my stomach started to hurt again. I had no money, no job, no food, and no idea what I was supposed to do. As I wandered around, I happened to hear people talking about a school nearby that gave free meals to kids. They called it MBG. Hmm? Free meals? My ears perked up right away. I did not really understand what MBG meant, but free food was free food. Even if I was not a kid, maybe they would still give me a little if I asked nicely, right? So I went to the nearby school. The place was crowded and lively, with students in uniforms chatting as they walked around. I felt a little out of place, but I still gathered my courage and approached the security guard at the front gate. “Excuse me.” I asked politely. “May I have the free meal too?” The guard looked at me, then frowned at once. He told me that MBG was only for students, not for someone like me. Before I could explain anything, he waved me away and told me to leave. Hwaaa... how embarrassing! I only wanted some food, but now I looked like some shameless beggar in front of the whole school. My stomach was still growling, and somehow that made everything feel even sadder. So MBG was not something a hungry person could simply ask for after all... I walked away from the gate while clutching my stomach, trying my best not to cry. But I really was so hungry…
