🎶春日の響きと記憶の音 — 番外 — 舞台 —Stage with Starlight
🌸✨ In this alternate universe, Mio and みお are twin sisters, set in a unified world where the virtual singers of Crypton Future Media, Team TWINDRILL, INTERNET Co., Ltd., and the characters of Project SEKAI: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku coexist. 🌙🎶 💜💗💜💗💜 Story 💗💜💗💜💗 The moment the lights went out, the entire venue plunged into darkness. The very next second, the first thunderous drumbeat crashed through the silence. “—BAM!” KAITO brought his drumstick down hard against the drumhead, and MEIKO immediately picked up the rhythm from the other side. From the highest level of the stage, the two drum kits erupted in alternating bursts, their rapid, powerful beats surging through the entire venue like a pounding heartbeat. Countless glow sticks instantly lit up across the audience. Blue, purple, pink, red, yellow—thousands upon thousands of lights rose and fell with the rhythm, like a sea of stars boiling with excitement. The lights at center stage suddenly blazed to life. “Everyone—are you ready?!” Miku stepped forward with her guitar, her turquoise twin-tails soaring high as she turned. She wasn’t looking at a camera. Instead, she gazed directly at the glittering audience before her and sang the first line with a bright smile. A roar of cheers immediately swept through the entire venue. Nearby, みお leapt forward with the beat. Her shoulder-strapped keyboard tilted diagonally across her body as she moved. Her shoulder-length hair fluttered gently in the stage wind, and her heart-shaped ahoge bounced along with the rhythm. She wore no eyepatch, and both of her purple eyes clearly reflected the countless lights below. She sang harmony while taking light, energetic dance steps, then immediately returned both hands to the keys. A brilliant electronic melody joined the song. And then— Every instrument exploded into life at once. “Now!” Gakupo called out in a low voice. His left hand raced along the neck of his Bass, his slender fingers pressing the strings with precision while his right hand relentlessly plucked out a deep, powerful rhythm. He wasn’t simply standing still and playing. As the drums accelerated, he stepped forward, lowered his body, then dramatically lifted the instrument with the next heavy beat. His pure violet hair swept backward with the motion. Most striking of all were the long locks on both sides of his face, hanging in front of his ears all the way down to his waist, tracing beautiful arcs beneath the purple spotlights. And beside him, as always, was Luka. No one stood between them. Luka stepped forward in perfect rhythm with him, her long pink hair scattering in the stage wind. She leaned slightly over her guitar, her left hand moving rapidly between the frets while her right hand swept fiercely across the strings. “Gakupo!” She called his name during a brief opening in the melody. Gakupo turned his head. Their eyes met for only a moment. Nothing more needed to be said. He already understood. At the next measure— The Bass and guitar changed their phrases simultaneously. Shoulder to shoulder, the two rushed several steps toward the front of the stage. On the heavy beat, they turned at exactly the same moment and faced the audience together. “WOOOOO—!!” The cheering from below nearly overwhelmed the sound system. But that was exactly the sound they wanted to hear. On the other side, Rin jumped onto a lower platform with her guitar. “You’re still not loud enough!” She called toward the audience with a grin, her enormous white bow bouncing wildly with the jump. The instant both feet landed firmly on the stage, her left hand was already back on the neck of the guitar. On the next beat, her right hand swept across the strings. “Then let’s do it again!” Teto spun halfway around, her vivid red twin-drills whipping behind her like two blazing flames. She planted one foot on the platform at the front of the stage and leaned toward the audience, singing harmony before the chorus while fiercely playing her guitar. Mio refused to be outdone. Her single eyepatch remained firmly over one eye, while her visible purple eye reflected the entire glowing sea of light before her. Her shoulder-length hair and heart-shaped ahoge bounced with every movement. Strum. Step. Turn. Strum again. Even while dancing, her hands never left her guitar. Meanwhile, みお followed a completely different path across the stage. With no eyepatch, みお moved diagonally across the front of the stage with her keyboard strapped over her shoulder, both hands racing across the keys. Only during a brief rest in the melody did she lift one hand toward the audience. “Sing with us!” The crowd immediately answered. She smiled, and in the very next second her hand returned to the keyboard. At the opposite end of the stage, Len moved forward with his keyboard strapped over his shoulder, keeping pace with the beat. His fingers flew across the keys even as his body continued stepping from side to side with everyone else. On the final beat before the chorus, he suddenly leapt forward. He landed. Both hands struck the chord simultaneously. “Here it comes!” At the rear of the stage, MEIKO raised her drumsticks high. KAITO grinned at the same moment. Their arms came down almost simultaneously. “BAM—!” The drums exploded. It was as though that single strike had completely ignited the entire stage. The enormous LED screens transformed into a deep, star-filled sky. Glowing musical notes rose from both sides of the stage. Treble clefs, stars, diamond-shaped crystals, and heart-shaped lights spun through the air. Violet and blue lasers cut through the haze as countless ribbons of light swept past the ten performers and stretched all the way into the audience. At last, the chorus arrived. All ten voices rang out together. Even as their instruments continued playing, they sang, danced, and performed with the melody. Not one of them stood still simply posing. Miku swung her twin-tails as she stepped forward while strumming her guitar; Rin and Teto crossed paths from opposite sides; Mio spun through her choreography with her guitar; and みお crossed the stage from the other direction with her keyboard strapped over her shoulder. Behind them, KAITO and MEIKO seemed almost locked in a duel of drums. Drumsticks descended. Drumheads trembled. Cymbals erupted with brilliant crashes. And at the center of the stage— Gakupo and Luka were still playing side by side. Their shoulders occasionally brushed as their movements grew more intense. Luka didn’t look back. Neither did Gakupo. Because at that moment, both of them were looking toward the same place. —the audience. Individual faces were impossible to distinguish anymore. All they could see was an endless sea of glow sticks. And that sea of light was answering them. With every drumbeat, thousands of lights dropped together. With every sweep of the guitars, the entire ocean of stars rose once more. “Louder—!” Miku shouted to the entire venue. The audience answered with a deafening roar. Gakupo couldn’t help but smile. And as Luka sang the next line, the same smile appeared on her face. Mio and みお moved toward the center from opposite sides of the stage. The two cat-eared girls shared similar purple eyes and heart-shaped ahoges, yet they were unmistakably different at a glance—Mio wore her signature single eyepatch and held a guitar, while みお had no eyepatch, both eyes clearly visible, with a keyboard strapped over her shoulder. They never stopped moving. Neither did anyone else. All ten performers were dancing. All ten instruments were adding their own voices to the music. Because tonight’s stage had never been meant to become a motionless group photograph. It was a song set ablaze. Drums, Bass, guitars, and keyboards intertwined as ten voices soared through the glowing notes, starlight, and sweeping ribbons of light, carrying all the way to the farthest reaches of the venue. Below the stage, tens of thousands of glow sticks rose together once more. That brilliant sea of light seemed to answer the ten performers onstage— Tonight was far from over. The most passionate part of the concert... was only just beginning.
