Story Chapter 2: Mysterious Blue Portal

Haruka stood in front of her mirror, finishing getting dressed after her shower. She slipped into a simple white tank top and pulled on her black glossy swim bottoms, checking her reflection with a satisfied little smile. “Much better. Now I can finally relax.” She remained completely unaware of what was happening behind her. Across the room, the air suddenly began to shimmer. A faint blue glow appeared in midair, growing brighter by the second. Ripples of strange energy spread outward as a circular portal slowly formed behind Haruka. She casually adjusted her hair, still oblivious to the phenomenon only a few steps away. The portal pulsed. Haruka paused. “Hmm?” She glanced around, but before she could turn completely— The mysterious blue gateway suddenly flared with brilliant light. Haruka's eyes widened. “What on earth is—?” The portal continued expanding behind her, its destination completely unknown.
