【LORA】Asmodeus (Goetia)
〇 Asmodeus (Goetia) One of the 72 demons listed in the *Goetia*, holding the rank of 32nd. A demon god of lust and wrath, he serves as one of the four kings under Amaimon—ruler of the Eastern Realm of the Demon World—and commands a massive force of 72 legions. He is said to embody "Lust" among the Seven Deadly Sins defined by Christianity; his existence and legends are well-known in the human world, appearing in various Jewish and Christian texts. He is believed to have originated as the demon Aeshma from Zoroastrianism, evolving into the figure of Asmodeus as his name was translated into Greek and Hebrew over the centuries. The *Book of Tobit* recounts a tale in which he possessed a young woman and repeatedly killed her husbands on their wedding nights; his reign of terror was eventually halted by the Archangel Raphael, who imprisoned him in Egypt. The illustration depicts him as a middle-aged man, based on the artwork found in the *Dictionnaire Infernal*. His skin tone is rendered in a reddish-black hue, similar to that of the demon Dantalion. His attire is designed to evoke the image of an ancient Roman senator. True to the texts, he serves as one of the four viceroys of the Eastern Realm; in addition to managing the territory, he personally leads over two-thirds of his legions as active military forces—a contingent that constitutes the largest military power in the Eastern Realm.
