Hanfu at Heritage - 神代類x暁山瑞希&巡音ルカx神威がくぽ
💜💗💜💗💜 Story 💗💜💗💜💗 The Night When Lights Reflected on the RiverWhen night fell, the streets of Chinatown were still not completely quiet. The lively crowds of the day gradually dispersed, while the shop lights lit up one after another. Lanterns hanging along the street stood out more vividly in the darkness. Occasionally, late-returning tourists passed by, carrying freshly bought snacks and souvenirs, their faces still glowing with the joy of play. After dinner at a restaurant, Gakupo, Luka, Rui, and Mizuki decided to continue their holiday outing.“Where should we go next?” Mizuki put down her drink and looked at the others expectantly.“I checked the nearby spots. Some historical sites are open for night visits,” Rui said, flipping through the notes on his phone. “And if we walk along the riverside, we can enjoy the night view.”“Historical sites and the riverside?” Mizuki’s eyes sparkled. “That sounds perfect for photos!”Luka also looked intrigued. “Then let’s go together.”Gakupo nodded. “Good. It’s rare we have time today.”“Then it’s decided!” Mizuki stood up quickly, grabbing her bag. “Tonight’s holiday continues!”The four left the restaurant and headed toward the nearby historical site. The city at night had a different atmosphere than in the daytime. By day, the architectural details were clear, but at night, the lights outlined the eaves, stone walls, and old windows with a soft glow. Shadows of trees fell faintly under the lamps, and the distant sound of cars occasionally drifted in.They walked slowly. Rui checked the map while explaining the sights along the way.“This site used to be an important hub for transport and commerce. After restoration, many of its original features were preserved.”“You even researched that?” Mizuki leaned closer.“Of course. If we’re here to experience it, we should understand the background.”“I just wanted to take photos.”“Photos and history don’t conflict.”“Fine, then you’ll be our guide.”“I’ll gladly take that role.”Luka listened to their exchange and laughed softly. “Rui really suits this kind of thing.”“Thank you for the compliment.”“But remember, today isn’t work,” Mizuki reminded. “Don’t suddenly start scheduling our tour.”Rui paused. “Then I’ll introduce things with a holiday mood.”“That’s better!”At the entrance, they saw a well-preserved traditional building. The eaves stretched outward, the walls bore marks of time, and simple lighting near the entrance highlighted its silhouette.Mizuki stood before it, gazing upward. “So beautiful.” Her voice was quieter than usual.“It must look different in the daytime.” “True,” Luka said. “But I think the night atmosphere is better.”Gakupo nodded beside her. “The lights soften the details.”“And it matches our hanfu today,” Mizuki added, stepping back to take out her phone. “Come on, let’s take a photo!”She handed the phone to a nearby tourist politely. “Thank you!”The tourist snapped their first photo: the four in hanfu before the glowing eaves, natural and relaxed. Rui held a fan, Mizuki smiled brightly, Luka leaned slightly, and Gakupo stood calmly at her side.“It came out great!” Mizuki checked the photo immediately. “See, the background isn’t cut off!”Rui glanced. “The composition is good.” “Don’t just critique composition.” “Then… the people look natural too.” “That’s better.”Luka smiled warmly. “Everyone looks happy.” “Because today really is happy,” Gakupo agreed. They continued exploring. Rui paused often to read about the history, Mizuki snapped details of windows and eaves, while Luka and Gakupo admired the preserved wooden frames.“I wonder if people in the past also strolled here at night,” Luka mused. “Maybe,” Gakupo said. “But nights back then were probably quieter.”She imagined it, smiling softly. “If only we could see the old streets.”“You like history?” “I like imagining lives far removed from ours.”She pointed at a lamp under the eaves. “Someone might have waited for a friend here, or said goodbye to family.”“You always notice such things.” “Is that bad?” “It’s good,” he replied naturally.Later, Rui explained architectural angles to Mizuki, who eagerly dragged him to find the best photo spot. Luka and Gakupo followed slowly. They stayed until closing time, then left for the riverside. The river flowed gently under the night sky, reflecting buildings and streetlights. A bridge glowed in the distance, cars leaving fleeting streaks of light across the water. The riverside was quieter than Chinatown. A cool breeze carried moisture, calming them after the day’s bustle.“Beautiful,” Luka whispered at the railing. “Mm,” Gakupo agreed.“If not for this holiday, we wouldn’t have come here.” “Probably not.” “That would be a shame.” “So we should keep making time off.” “You’re right,” she smiled.Mizuki was already scouting photo spots. “Let’s take a group shot!”Rui pointed to a spot with river, bridge, and lights. “That background looks good.”Mizuki handed the phone to Gakupo. “You take it!” “Alright.”But Luka stopped him. “You’re part of this holiday too. If only three of us are in the photo, it’ll feel incomplete later.”Mizuki agreed instantly. “Exactly! Gakupo must join!”Rui took the phone instead. “I’ll shoot.”The shutter clicked: the four stood by the river, Mizuki beaming, Rui calm, Luka leaning toward Gakupo, and Gakupo standing naturally beside her.“No need for stage poses—just memories of tonight.”They took another, facing the river instead of the camera. The photo captured their backs against the glowing reflections.“This one feels special,” Mizuki said. “Atmospheric,” Rui agreed. “Let’s put it in our holiday album.” “Do we have one?” Luka asked. “We do now!” Mizuki grinned. They joked about titles until Luka suggested: “Let’s call it ‘No Work Today.’”Everyone paused, then laughed. “Perfect,” Rui said. “Simple and fitting,” Gakupo added. They lingered at the railing, Mizuki snapping reflections, Rui discussing angles, Luka quietly admiring, and Gakupo beside her.“Today feels so full,” Luka murmured. “Even without work, it feels like a whole day.” “Because we did things we never have time for.” “True.”She gazed at the lights. “I hope we can do this again.” “We will,” Gakupo said. “As long as we remember we have lives beyond being idols.”She smiled. “On stage you’re reliable, but even offstage you make me feel at ease.” “And you look happier than usual today.” “Because everyone’s here,” she replied softly. They stayed until late, finally leaving. Mizuki insisted on one last photo of the night view.“No more after this!” she promised.Their laughter drifted away with the breeze, hanfu sleeves swaying as they walked. No stage, no applause. No spotlights, no work.Only old streets, river lights, and four friends who set aside their idol selves. This night would remain a memory they’d smile at whenever they looked back at the photos.
