ポポーの収穫｜Pawpaw Harvest
ポポーの収穫が最盛期です。私の故郷、アメリカでは大人気のフルーツで、日本でも最近見かけるようになりました。見た目は緑色のマンゴーのようで、熟した果肉は黄色く、食感はまるでカスタードクリームです。リンゴとバナナを合わせたような味で、トロピカルなフレーバーですよ。皆さんも機会があったら、ぜひ食べてみてください。 It’s peak pawpaw season! Pawpaws are very popular in my home country, the United States, and they’ve recently started appearing in Japan as well. They look a bit like green mangoes, but the flesh turns yellow when ripe and has a texture almost like custard cream. They taste like a combination of apples and bananas, with a wonderfully tropical flavor. If you ever get the chance, I hope you’ll give them a try!
