2girls, yuri, manga cover, book cover, cowboy shot, eye level, detective, horror \(theme\), mystery, romantic tension, intimate, embrace, holding waist, grabbing lapel, holding flashlight, looking at each other, eye contact, blush, parted lips, trench coat, collared shirt, loosened necktie, dark suits, crime scene, crime scene tape, dark archive, dust motes, bloodstains, dramatic shadows, high contrast, sharp ink lines, title text, volume number, cover page A vertical manga cover composition in cowboy shot framing, centered on two adult female detectives held in a tense, intimate embrace within the ruined interior of a dark crime scene archive. The taller detective stands on the left with disheveled raven hair gathered into a low ponytail, her sharp grey eyes gazing downward; her right arm is locked firmly around the waist of the second woman, drawing their hips flush together, while her gloved left hand raises a heavy metal flashlight pointed forward. The second detective, leaning back against the taller woman's chest, has soft wavy chin-length auburn hair and wide hazel eyes with dilated pupils; her left hand clutches the heavy lapel of the trench coat, creasing the wool, while her right fingers press over the taller woman's forearm at her hip. Their faces are parted by barely an inch, warm breath visible in the chilled air, their flushed cheeks and parted lips held in suspended romantic longing despite the surrounding terror. Behind them, frayed yellow caution tape stretches diagonally across a shattered doorway, framing collapsing wooden archive shelves piled high with rotting cardboard dossiers and scattered, blood-streaked case files littering the floorboards. Across the top third of the cover, bold Japanese manga display title lettering is set in sharp, angular brush kanji reading "血痕のワルツ", underlined by a smaller English subtitle in clean sans-serif type reading "BLOODSTAIN WALTZ - OCCULT CASE FILES". In the upper right corner sits a white rectangular inset box reading "VOL. 01", and along the bottom left corner neat cover credit text reads "Story: Kirishima / Art: Kuroha". Micro-print barcode lines and serial numbers run along the bottom right margin. Suspended dust motes and drifting paper ash appear as razor-sharp white specks exclusively inside the conical beam of the flashlight, vanishing completely the moment they cross the hard geometric boundary into the surrounding dark. The flashlight is the sole key light, throwing sharp diagonal chiaroscuro cast shadows across their jawlines, throats, and folded garments, with the room beyond dropping into impenetrable blackness. The palette is strictly disciplined in ink blacks, deep charcoal, muted slate blue, and pale porcelain skin, ignited by sharp crimson accents across the necktie, lipstick, and blood spatter. Rendered in clean ink linework with dramatic high-contrast shading and a narrative composition typical of Japanese comic book covers. Haunting dread, breathless intimacy.
