The grandfather kneels humbly in seiza, his short white hair neatly combed, his crinkled eyes pressed shut in an overwhelmed, blissful expression of gratitude with flushed rosy cheeks and tiny glistening tears of joy. He wears an ash-grey kimono beneath a rich chestnut-brown haori jacket fastened with a neat cream cord, his hands pressed together at his chest in delighted thanks. Flocking closely around him, the Seven Lucky Gods pamper him relentlessly: to his left, the jovial, round-bellied Hotei wraps a plump arm across the grandfather's shoulder in an affectionate half-hug, his loose robe slipping to reveal his laughing chest while he leans on his enormous white sack of treasures; on his right, the heavenly maiden Benzaiten leans in cheek-to-cheek with the old man, her gossamer celestial scarves looping weightlessly overhead as she cradles her lacquered wooden biwa; in the front foreground, Ebisu sits cross-legged in an indigo robe and tall eboshi cap, proudly presenting a huge, fresh red sea bream directly toward the grandfather's lap with an exuberant open-mouthed grin; Daikokuten perches cheerfully atop two woven straw rice bales, his hood pulled low over laughing eyes as he shakes his magic wooden mallet high above, releasing a fountain of sparkling gold koban coins; towering gently from behind, Fukurokuju rests his chin affectionately near the grandfather’s head, his comically tall domed cranium and long white beard framing the scene while his hands rest on a gnarled walking staff; beside him, Jurojin smiles sweetly as he offers a ripe, blushing pink longevity peach directly to the old man, while an attendant miniature white crane nuzzles against the shoulder of the grandfather's haori; guarding the flank, the miniature armored Bishamonten stands in ornate vermilion-and-gold armor, balancing a softly luminous miniature treasure pagoda on one palm while giving the grandfather an encouraging, warm pat on the back. The scene is framed as an authentic nengajo against a soft, textured cream paper ground adorned with stylized swirling golden clouds, deep green pine sprigs, and scattered soft pink plum blossom petals. Across the upper section, prominent calligraphic Japanese lettering rendered in embossed vermilion and gold foil reads "謹賀新年". The floating gold coins drift slowly through the air, their flat burnished surfaces catching warm overhead light and casting sharp miniature oval drop shadows across the folded fabric of the grandfather's haori. Executed in a modern chibi-focused anime style with rounded proportions, oversized heads, and soft pastel palettes, featuring clean linework, dense decorative elements, playful expressions, and sticker-like compositions, cute yet polished, blending contemporary kawaii trends with rich textures and lively color accents; overflowing festive warmth.
