no humans, scenery, interior, ryokan, tatami, fusuma, shoji, tokonoma, chabudai, zabuton, low angle, wide shot, architectural photography, traditional japanese interior, daylight, soft shadows, sunlight through window A wide shot from a low, seated eye-level captures the quiet interior of an authentic ryokan guest room. Golden-green woven igusa rush tatami mats cover the floor in a traditional intersecting layout, edged with crisp black-cotton borders (heri) that run straight along the floor joints. On the left wall, opaque fusuma sliding doors made of heavy, cream-toned mulberry paper stand slightly ajar, decorated with a faint, horizontal brush-ink mist motif and fitted with dark, recessed circular metal pulls (hikite). In the center of the room sits a low, dark-lacquered keyaki wood table (chabudai) with a polished reflective finish, flanked by two square indigo fabric zabuton cushions resting flat against the straw weave. On the low table, a smooth celadon ceramic teapot and a single unglazed teacup sit atop a carved wooden tray. Across the far wall, a recessed tokonoma alcove features a slender hanging scroll suspended beside a polished natural wood pillar, with a minimalist single-stem plum blossom arrangement set in a shallow bronze vase. Warm, diffused afternoon sunlight pours through floor-to-ceiling wooden shoji lattice screens along the veranda to the right, projecting sharp, elongated rectangular grid shadows that bend distinctly over the raised dark edges of the tatami mats and the base of the low table. The palette is restrained to natural rush greens, aged cedar wood, warm parchment paper, and muted indigo. Tranquil stillness.
