On the polished cedar floorboards, a slender horse girl with long, dark brown hair sits sprawled awkwardly on one hip, having slipped on a wet patch beside an overturned water bottle. Her dark equine ears are pinned flat against her head in profound distress, a vivid blue ribbon tied at the base of her left ear, and her glossy tail curls tightly around her flank. The clumsy fall has pulled her navy athletic track jacket completely off her left shoulder, dragging the collar of her white undershirt askew across her bare collarbone, while the hem of her track shorts rides up high along her bare thighs. Desperately twisting her torso away, she claws one hand downward to yank her hem over her exposed legs while pressing her other forearm across her chest, her entire face flooded with a furious, burning crimson blush that reaches her ear tips as her teary purple eyes glare straight upward in mortified humiliation. Standing frozen in the open doorway just two paces away, her male trainer in a light dress shirt and slacks is paralyzed on the threshold; his left hand grips the sliding door frame while his right hand raises defensively in a panicked surrender gesture. His eyes are wide with stunned shock, cold sweat beading on his temple as his gaze lands helplessly on the compromising scene. Between them on the floor, an impact-scattered clipboard lies with white training logs fanning outward across the wood, the glossy slick of spilled water catching sharp afternoon sunbeams cutting through the threshold. Frantic comedic embarrassment.
